We’re committed
to
helping students succeed

Since 1996, we’ve taken great pride
in our role of supporting teachers
and students and have raised over
$3.3 million for school-focused
initiatives in our communities.

Through our TangerKids Grant
program we invite teachers and leaders
in education to request funding to help
enhance programs and better serve
students. From modernizing literature
and libraries, to purchasing adaptive
and more inclusive equipment, the
grants awarded through the
TangerKids Grant Program allows
students and teachers access to the
resources needed to succeed in
today’s classroom.

Mission. Vision. Values.

At Tanger Outlets, community is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout our 40-year history, we have made it our mission to be a good neighbor to the communities we serve, and our shopping center teams take great pride in supporting families and the future of local youth. The TangerKids Grants Program underscores our commitment to enriching the lives of the next generation by helping them reach their full potential.

The TangerKids Grant Program was created to satisfy the specific funding needs of community schools – from creating and implementing school-wide initiatives, to updating equipment and academic materials, to supporting extracurricular clubs, athletic teams and band programs. The past two years have created a more challenging environment for many schools, highlighting a greater need for resources and support – and many institutions have been forced to reimagine their programs, their classrooms and the ways they interact with students.

In 2022, Tanger awarded nearly $160,000 to fund over 146 grants across US. Over 70% of those grants served programs focused on inclusion — directly aligning with our environmental, social and governance approach. Since 1996, Tanger has proudly made over $3.3 million total contributions through school-focused initiatives, enabling more youth to achieve their aspirations and helping community partners strengthen their resources.
